New gate installed - club gates practice and racing underway for term 1!

Over the summer break, the club got a new gate. And it’s awesome! It’s been getting a great workout at club racing and Tuesday gates.

Club racing is every second Sunday during school term, and gates practice is every Tuesday during term. Beginners through to experienced hands 2 years old and above welcome! All you need to participate is an AusCycling licence (a free 4-week trial license is available). Times are:

  • 5pm – miniwheelers (balance bikes and new to pedals)
  • 5.30pm – sprockets (8 years and younger) and beginners
  • 6.30pm – open gates

Bayside BMX is participating in AusBike again this year. AusBike is a prgram designed for kids aged 5 -12. AusBike is here to get kids back on their bikes. They’ll learn about road safety, build essential life skills, and have a whole lot of fun. The sessions are run by accredited coaches and are not on the BMX track, but on the grassy area nearby.
